Carllie Meeks, LCSW
Senior Staff Therapist
Welcome! I am passionate about helping individuals navigate life's challenges with compassion, understanding, and a deep respect for your lived experiences. My practice honors the rich and diverse experiences of individuals exploring their identity within their communities, including those on a journey of self-discovery related to culture and personal history.
I am deeply committed to addressing the unique challenges around body and food shame, especially within communities that face historical and societal Eurocentric pressures. I work to dismantle the harmful effects of systemic inequities in treatment and offer care that reflects a deep cultural understanding. Therapy is a journey, and I am here to walk this road with you. My goal is to empower you to tap into the strength that is already within you, helping you heal and grow into the person you aspire to be. Together, we will navigate this path of healing, one step at a time.
I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I specialize in working with children, youth, and adults of all ages who face a wide range of challenges such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, peer and romantic relationship difficulties, and disordered eating patterns/eating disorders. My approach is grounded in compassion and cultural competence, and I am committed to supporting clients on their journey toward healing and empowerment.
